STRATEGY FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITIES at UTP
The research activity at the University of Telecommunications and Post is aimed at creating scientific results and applied products related to the priorities of the Strategy and the Research Plan on the basis of contracts and projects and through a subsidy from the state budget.
The research activity is being conducted by the academic staff, students and doctoral students:
1. Individually or by established teams, with the participation of scientists and specialists from other scientific organizations in Bulgaria and abroad;
2. Through the participation of lecturers, students and doctoral students in regional, national and international research programs and projects.
The UTP creates the conditions for carrying out and promoting the research activity of the members of the academic staff, by:
1. Ensuring the use of the material, technical and information base of the university;
2. Creating conditions for specialization in leading scientific and professional organizations in Bulgaria and abroad;
3. Encourages the participation of academic staff in national and international scientific events;
4. Organizes conferences, seminars and other scientific forums;
5. Provides the opportunity to publish the results of the academic research, in Bulgarian and international scientific forums.
The publishing activity of UTP is carried out by the Library Information and Publishing Center (BIIC) and is governed by the Rules for the publishing activity of UTP.
Publishing priority are the results of academic staff research, included in UTP’s research plan, participation in national and international programs and projects, scientific conferences, symposia, etc., as well as publishing textbooks and teaching aids for the educational process.
